No one can give you freedom, and no one can give you equality, justice, or anything else. If you are truly a man, then go and take it yourself.
Not as heavy as I had imagined. No youth crisis, no sleepless nights, and no sense of mission either, as I had imagined.
2021 was very calm — it could even be called a little dull.
This year, I moved from the Software Park to the Ecological Park, and then to Songpingshan, as if returning once more to the starting point.
Calm as it was, there were still some gains:
- Improved my life: moved with Qiaoqiao into a slightly bigger place, no longer sharing with others
- Qiaoqiao joined a fairly good company
- Bought a Tesla
- My bitcoin holdings increased
- Learned to build websites with Hugo + GitHub
- Began working on overseas projects
- Visited Fuyuan Temple and Hongfa Temple
What I regret most is that COVID-19 is still raging across the world: no Tokyo, no Bangkok, no going to so many places.
I hope 2022 will be the beginning of “leaving.”
I have always believed that with humanity’s current productive capacity, we could in fact support a better life and better development for all humankind. But rigid distribution methods and backward relations of production limit that possibility. And through careful migration, by shifting ourselves, we can, to a certain extent, change this state of affairs.
